Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen [125 km]

Your 10 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech begins with a warm welcome at the airport, port, or your accommodation in Tangier. After meeting your driver-guide, start the day with visits to the Caves of Hercules and Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean, offering breathtaking coastal views and legendary history.

From there, drive through the scenic Rif Mountains, with rolling hills, traditional villages, and panoramic viewpoints along the way. Stop briefly in Tetouan, a historic city with strong Andalusian influences. By afternoon, arrive in Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous blue city, and enjoy wandering its peaceful blue-painted streets, quaint plazas, and artisan shops. Overnight stay in a riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes [250 km]

After breakfast, you’ll leave the Rif Mountains and head toward one of Morocco most impressive archaeological sites. The first stop is Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its remarkably preserved Roman ruins and intricate mosaics.

Next, continue to the imperial city of Meknes, once the capital during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Here you will visit the magnificent Bab Mansour gate, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco, and explore the historic Medina.

After lunch, continue to Fes, Morocco spiritual and cultural capital. Upon arrival, check in to your riad located within the historic medina and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Guided Tour of Fes

Today you will explore Fes, with a local guide, Morocco oldest imperial city, you’ll explore the narrow streets and hidden corners of the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Highlights of the day include the Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), the famous Al Karaouine University, considered the oldest university in the world, and the colorful leather tanneries. You will also visit artisan workshops where traditional crafts such as pottery and weaving are still practiced.

After a full day of exploration, return to your riad for another overnight stay in the Medina.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert [453 km]

After breakfast, your journey continues south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Ifrane, a charming town known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets, often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco.

Next, travel through the cedar forests near Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaque monkeys. After enjoying the fresh mountain air, continue to Midelt, where you’ll stop for lunch.

The journey then continues through the spectacular Ziz Valley, known for its lush palm groves and dramatic landscapes. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga, a small village located on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Overnight at a hotel or riad in Merzouga Village, with dinner included.

Day 5: Explore the Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, explore the Merzouga Desert. Visit Khamlia village to meet the Gnawa community and enjoy their traditional music, then visit nomadic Berber families living in tents. Lunch features a local specialty, Berber pizza.

In the late afternoon, your camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes begins. After about 90 minutes, arrive at your desert camp for dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a magical night in the Sahara.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley [257 km

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes, one of the most memorable moments of the trip. After breakfast at the camp, ride your camel back to the village where your driver will be waiting.

Your journey continues through desert towns including Rissani and Tinghir before reaching the dramatic Todra Gorge. These towering canyon walls rise over 300 meters high and are among the most spectacular natural sites in Morocco.

After lunch near the gorge, continue through the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its unusual rock formations and historic kasbahs. Overnight stay in Dades valley.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech [340 km]

After breakfast in the scenic Dades Valley, begin your journey toward Marrakech through some of southern Morocco most beautiful landscapes. The drive passes through the Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant rose fields and traditional products, before continuing to the palm-filled Skoura Oasis, home to historic kasbahs and quiet Berber villages.

Next, arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa, where several famous movies such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed. Continue to the famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco most impressive fortified villages. After exploring the ancient kasbah and its narrow alleys, travel across the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech in the evening. Day 8: Guided Tour of Marrakech

Today you will explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The tour begins with the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, followed by a visit to the beautifully decorated Bahia Palace and the historic Saadian Tombs.

Next, wander through the lively souks of the medina, where artisans sell spices, carpets, ceramics, and traditional crafts. The tour also includes time in Jemaa el-Fna Square, the energetic heart of Marrakech filled with street performers and food stalls.

In the afternoon, visit the peaceful Majorelle Garden, famous for blue architecture and exotic plants. Return to the Medina if you want to have a mint tea in the rooftop or relax in your riad for the evening.

Day 9: Day Trip to Ourika Valley [120 km]

After breakfast, start from Marrakech for a day trip to the Ourika Valley, nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Famous for its vibrant greenery, charming Berber villages, and cascading waterfalls, the valley provides a serene and scenic retreat from the bustle of the city.
