Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Transfer to Rabat [118 km]

Day 3: Guided City Tour of Fes

Today you will explore Fes with a professional local guide. Known as one of Morocco most historic cities, Fes is full of traditions, lively souks, and colorful streets that give a true taste of Moroccan culture.

Your guided tour starts in Fes el-Bali, the oldest part of the city. Walk through its narrow streets, visit the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa, and see the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque (exterior visit), one of the oldest universities in the world.

Next, wander through the lively souks of Fes, where artisans make carpets, pottery, spices, and leather goods using traditional methods. Visit the famous Chouara Tanneries to see leather being hand-dyed, and take in the views across the bustling medina. Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert [454 km]

After breakfast, we head south, driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco because of its European-style architecture and clean streets.

Travel through the lush cedar forests surrounding Ifrane, where you may catch sight of playful Barbary macaques. As you continue across the mountains, the landscape gradually transforms, opening up to the arid beauty of the desert below.

We pass through the beautiful Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and panoramic views, before reaching Merzouga.

Your Sahara adventure starts here. Take a camel ride across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy the beautiful desert sunset. At the desert camp, relax with a traditional Moroccan dinner, listen to Berber music, and overnight in a luxury desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley [247 km]

Start the day early to watch the sunrise over the Merzouga dunes. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by 4×4 and continue to the town of Rissani, known for its traditional market and authentic desert atmosphere.

From there, head to the Todra Gorges, a stunning canyon with high rock walls. Take a short walk through the gorge and enjoy the palm groves, small villages, and peaceful surroundings.

Next, drive along the Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations and historic kasbahs. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel in the Dades Valley or in Ouarzazate.
