Day 1: Welcome to Fes, Morocco

Your 8 days tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with a warm welcome at Fes Airport, where your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel or traditional riad. After your journey, you will have the rest of the day to relax and recover before starting the adventure ahead. Overnight stay in Fes, preparing to explore the city the following day.

Day 2: Explore Fes with a Local Guide

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full day exploring one of Morocco most fascinating imperial cities. The historic Medina of Fes el-Bali, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the oldest and most authentic medieval cities in the world.

During the guided tour, you will visit famous Quranic schools (madrasas), traditional tanneries where leather is still crafted using ancient techniques, and the historic Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, considered one of the oldest universities in the world. Lunch will be enjoyed in a traditional restaurant inside the Medina.

In the afternoon, continue exploring the colorful souks filled with artisan workshops, spices, textiles, and handmade crafts. You will also visit the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah) before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight in Fes.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert [461 km]

After breakfast, depart toward the Sahara Desert, beginning a scenic journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco because of its alpine-style architecture and clean mountain atmosphere.

Continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see the famous Barbary macaques living among the ancient trees. The journey continues south through the mountains to the town of Midelt, where you will stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, travel through the beautiful Ziz Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes and endless palm groves stretching along the river. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara Desert, where the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi rise above the horizon. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 4: Explore the Merzouga Desert

Today, explore the Merzouga Desert and its unique culture and landscapes. After breakfast, travel by 4×4 to visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its traditional Gnawa music, and explore nearby oases and nomadic areas where families continue their centuries-old way of life.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset, capturing the stunning desert colors. End the day at a luxury desert camp with a traditional Berber dinner, music around the campfire, and an authentic Moroccan desert experience.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley [275 km]

Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga village where the journey continues.

Travel toward the dramatic Todra Gorges, one of Morocco most impressive natural sites. The towering canyon walls rise hundreds of meters above the valley floor, creating a spectacular landscape popular with travelers and climbers alike. Enjoy lunch near the gorge and take time to walk through this stunning natural setting.

In the afternoon, continue through the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its winding roads, unique rock formations, and traditional Berber villages. Dinner and overnight will be in a charming hotel in the valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech [331 km]

After breakfast, continue your journey toward Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa due to its famous film studios and desert landscapes used in international movies.

Along the way, pass through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove before reaching the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This impressive fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has served as a filming location for many well-known movies and series.

After visiting the kasbah and enjoying lunch, continue driving through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. A stop will be made at the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Arrival in Marrakech will be in the late afternoon or evening. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 7: Explore Marrakech with a Local Guide

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco most historic cities. You will visit some of its most famous landmarks, including the peaceful Menara Gardens, the beautiful Bahia Palace, the historic Saadian Tombs, and the iconic Koutoubia Mosque from the outside.

In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant before exploring the colorful souks filled with local crafts, spices, and handmade goods. The day ends at the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square, where street performers, musicians, and food stalls create a unique atmosphere. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 8: Transfer to Marrakech or Casablanca Airport
