Day 4: Explore Fes with a Local Guide

Fes el-Bali, the ancient medina of Fes, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and your local guide will take you through its labyrinthine streets to some of the city’s most impressive landmarks. First, visit Al-Qarawiyyin University, considered the oldest continuously operating degree-granting university in the world, founded in 859 AD.

Next, you’ll explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, an architectural gem that showcases traditional Moroccan design with beautiful tile work and carvings. Continue to the famous Chouara Tannery, one of the oldest tanneries in Morocco, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods passed down through generations.
